Job summary

ON Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a motivated Equipment Technician to join the Equipment Management team.

You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and productivity. The ideal candidate holds a diploma or certificate in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronics, with an ability to read technical drawings and basic knowledge of PLC, sensors, motors, pneumatics, and automation systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
• Experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify improvements.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and procedures.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to minimize downtime.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support shift operations when required.

• Basic knowledge of PLC, sensors, motors, pneumatics, and automation systems is preferred.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on shifts and support production requirements.
