Job summary

onsemi Malaysia is seeking a Planner, Facilities (Electrical Engineer) to lead and coordinate projects for tool hook-ups, utilities expansion, and cleanroom conversions. The role involves working with production to identify needs, reviewing designs, and guiding installations from planning to commissioning.

The ideal candidate holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, and strong skills in project management, AutoCAD and MS

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferred 5 years and above hands-on experience in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
• Familiar with project expansion, utilities upgrade, retrofit projects and tools hook-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead project coordination for tools hook-up, facilities utilities expansion and cleanroom conversion projects from planning through installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate facilities electrical and mechanical utilities expansion to support new tools, production, capacity expansion and factory infrastructure.
• Review technical conceptual design, drawings, layout and project completion.
• Interface with production team to identify needs, define problems, and guide solution specifications.
• Plan and execute reliability improvement projects focused on new technology development and application.
• Develop cost-saving initiatives and improvement plans.
• Communicate and implement project expansion works with consultants, contractors and procurement.
• Prioritize tasks to meet timelines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Serve as liaison to DOSH, BOMBA, DOE and Majlis ensuring compliance with EH&S and building regs.

• Lead project coordination for tools hook-up, facilities utilities expansion and cleanroom conversion projects from planning through installation and commissioning
• Coordinate facilities electrical and mechanical utilities expansion required to support new tools, production, capacity expansion and factory infrastructure.
• Review technical conceptual design, drawings, layout and job completion.
• Interface directly with production team to identify and analyze critical needs, define problems, and develop specifications to guide the solution process.
• Plan and execute reliability improvement projects to focused on new technology development, evaluation, and application to both to both existing and emerging risk.
• Develop initiatives and strategies that lead to cost saving and improvement plan.
• Communicate and implement project expansion works within consultant, contractor and procurement.
• Priority to work with project team on the given task done within the timeline.
• To provide exceptional skills in prioritizing work and able to complete multi task projects.
• Serve as primary liaison to government and statutory bodies (DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, Majlis), ensuring full compliance with environmental, health, safety, and building regulations.

• Degree holder in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
