Job summary

onsemi in Malaysia is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support daily production targets, ensure quality and safety standards, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

The role involves operating equipment, performing setup/changeovers, monitoring processes, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts while adhering to SOPs and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manufacturing equipment per SOPs/work instructions.
• Ability to monitor processes and ensure product quality.
• Capable of basic troubleshooting and changeovers.

• Operate manufacturing equipment according to established SOPs and work instructions.
• Monitor production processes and ensure products meet quality specifications.
• Perform machine setup, changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• Support preventive maintenance and assist engineers in corrective maintenance activities.
• Record production data, machine status, downtime reasons, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, yield, quality, and cost reduction.

• Operate manufacturing equipment according to established SOPs and work instructions.
• Monitor production processes and ensure products meet quality specifications.

• Escalate equipment, process, or quality issues to the appropriate engineering teams.
• Record production data, machine status, downtime reasons, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, yield, quality, and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, environmental, and company regulations.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards within the production area.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), qualification runs, and engineering evaluations when required.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve operational objectives.
