Job summary

Mercure Kuala Lumpur Trion is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to safeguard the daily operations of a busy hotel. You will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, AC, plumbing, refrigeration and general building systems, attend to guest room and public area requests, and report issues to the Engineering Supervisor.

Ideal candidates have a technical certificate in electrical, mechanical, AC or related fields, at least 1 year of maintenance experience in

• Technical certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Air-Conditioning or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience in hospitality.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, air-conditioning and general building maintenance.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Service-oriented, proactive and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel facilities, equipment and systems to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen and laundry equipment, and general building facilities.
• Attend promptly to maintenance requests in guest rooms, public areas, F&B outlets and back-of-house areas.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure all equipment and facilities are maintained in good working condition.
• Identify and report equipment defects, safety hazards and maintenance issues to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with hotel fire and life safety procedures, health and safety regulations, and maintenance standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and equipment inspections.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimise operational disruptions and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Support energy conservation initiatives and efficient utilisation of resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
