Job summary

Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur is seeking a diligent Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest repair requests and coordinate with colleagues to resolve issues promptly. The role requires broad knowledge across air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks, with attention to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will perform regular preventive maintenance, manage basic repairs, and monitor inventory while following company policies and security

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance preferred, especially in hotel or building systems.
• Experience in hotel engineering/maintenance is a plus.
• Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and building systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry.
• Inspect and test equipment, perform basic repairs and replacements as needed.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
• Follow safety procedures and use Lockout/Tagout when performing maintenance.
