Job summary

Megapower Consultants seeks an electrical inspection professional to perform routine checks on electrical installations in industrial facilities around Johor. The role requires reading voltage, current, and power factor, along with visual inspections to meet regulatory requirements.

Candidate should have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, be able to travel daily within the state, and communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia with clients and team.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and related regulations.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia in speaking, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of electrical installations (switchgear, transformers, main switchboard) in industrial factories in Johor.
• Record voltage, current and power factor readings and conduct visual inspections for compliance.
• Communicate findings and report electrical faults/defects to clients.

Megapower Consultants provides both consulting and supervising services for electrical and mechanical system with more than 30 years of experience in various construction projects. Our company undertakes planning, design, cost estimate, adjudication, supervision, management, co-ordination and commissioning of various industrial factories, warehouses, housing, etc.

About the role

The candidate will have sufficient knowledge on modern electrical engineering practice including the principles of operation of equipment used for generation, transmission, distribution, utilization, protection and metering in electrical installations and energy efficiency management.

Key responsibilities

To conduct routine inspection for electrical installation (switchgear, transformer, main switchboard, etc) for industrial factories at Johor area.

To take readings of voltage, current and power factor, as well as conducting visual inspection to comply to Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations.

To communicate and report to clients about electrical faults and defects.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Possess sufficient knowledge of the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and any regulations made thereunder.

Able to travel daily within state and interstates.

Able to work independently and liaise effectively with clients.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia in speaking, reading, and writing.

Preferred Requirement

3+ year(s) work experiences in an environment where there is handling of electrical equipment and has experience of controlling live equipment (preferred).
