Job summary

Greatech Group in Penang's Simpang Ampat plant invites applications for a Training & QA Engineer to lead the Mechanical and Software Orientation Programs, and to coordinate the annual training needs and QA skill matrix.

You will collaborate with the Quality Manager and other departments to implement controls, collect data for the weekly Quality Forum, ensure ISO compliance, and deliver comprehensive QMS training to employees at all levels.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronic/Manufacturing or equivalent.
• 2–5 years hands-on quality assurance experience in fabrication of metal works and CNC machining.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with process owners and internal customers.
• Basic understanding of Metal Work and CNC machining processes, drawings, tolerances, and inspection operations (IQA/IPQA/OQA).
• Proficiency with basic in-house measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, gauges).
• Capability to collect and analyze data to plan improvements; training needs analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Conductor of Training & Orientation programs for Mechanical, Software, and QA sections.
• Manage Training & Orientation program materials; review and update content.
• Coordinate team to conduct annual Training Needs Analysis; compile skill matrices.
• Assist Quality Manager and QA engineers with data collection for weekly Quality Forum.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement quality controls and improvements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned and ensure compliance with ISO standards and safety guidelines.
• Deliver general QMS training across the plant to raise quality awareness.

• 7. Conduct general QMS training across the plant to enhance employees' understanding and awareness of quality management systems.
• 8. Good understanding of QMS and quality-related concepts, with the ability to effectively communicate and deliver training to employees at different levels.

Requirements:

• 1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronic/Manufacturing or equivalent years of related experience.
• 2. Minimum of >2-5 years working experience in hands-on quality assurance of fabrication on Metal Works and CNC Machining.
• 3. Work independently & communicate well with process owner & internal customer. Involvement in continuous improvement projects.
• 4. Basic understanding on Metal Work and CNC machining process, drawing, tolerance & inspection operation(IQA, IPQA & OQA).
• 5. Able to operate basic in-house measuring instruments such as caliper, micrometer & gauges.
• 6. Capable to collect & analyze data then establish improvement plan. Training needs analysis skill.
