Job summary

Atomic Solutions Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to install, validate and commission instruments on-site.

You will troubleshoot, service and repair equipment at customer sites, provide high-level technical support or training, and prepare quotations while coordinating with field teams.

Willingness to travel locally and overseas, strong communication, and a drive to deliver customer value are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, validation and commissioning of instruments.
• Troubleshoot, service and repair on-site.

• Handle field service calls and required paperwork promptly.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and corrective actions.

Job description

Provide on-site installation, validation and commissioning of instruments. Perform hands‑on on-site troubleshooting, service and repairs. Provide high level technical support or training to customers at their location. Interface with cross functional work teams such as field applications, customer support/services, product management, manufacturing and marketing/sales.

Interface with cross functional work teams such as field applications, customer support/services, product management, manufacturing and marketing/sales

Preparation of quotations and clarification of technical specifications with customers

Timely and professionally handle field sales/service calls and issues arising from field visits

Timely complete and submit all required paperwork

Response to clients & colleagues during weekends or public holiday if needed

Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions

Establish and develop good customer and supplier service relationships

Travel nationwide or worldwide to meet manufacturers/customers

About you

Diploma/Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent

Passion for learning about new technology and products

Proven track record in sale or service of scientific/capital equipment

Experience in Failure analysis such as SEM, X-ray, AFM, Microscopes is welcome

Flexible with schedule and discipline

Minimum 1-3 years' experience in Industrial/Failure Analysis, R & D Equipment

Able to visit local and overseas customers/suppliers when needed

Possess driving licence

Multilingual ability is a plus

Sales or service experience in Electronics/Semiconductor/Manufacturing/Life sciences/Oil and Gas/Chemical/Plastics is welcome
