Qualifications

Technical Specialist
ATG Nexus Sdn. Bhd., a proud subsidiary of Ancom Nylex Berhad, is looking for a motivated Technical Specialist to join our Analytics Department and contribute to delivering impactful data and business intelligence solutions.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to support the analysis of data and the design, development, testing, and implementation of business intelligence (BI) solutions that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders while developing your expertise in analytics and BI technologies.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Develop Business Intelligence Solutions: Design, develop, and implement data models, dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Qlik, Microsoft Power BI, and other relevant BI tools to deliver meaningful business insights.
• Analyse and Ensure Data Quality: Perform data analysis, cleansing, and validation activities to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability for reporting and decision-making purposes.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with senior team members, business users, and stakeholders to understand business and reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Support Testing and Implementation: Participate in the testing, deployment, and enhancement of BI solutions to ensure they meet business requirements, performance expectations, and quality standards.
• Provide Technical Support and Documentation: Troubleshoot issues related to dashboards, reports, and BI tools while preparing and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support end-users.
• Drive Continuous Learning and Improvement: Keep up to date with the latest features, technologies, and best practices of Qlik, Microsoft Power BI, and other relevant BI tools to continuously enhance analytics capabilities and solution delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience Level: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with internship or academic project experience involving data analytics, dashboards, reporting, databases, or business intelligence will have an added advantage.
• Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Knowledge: Basic understanding of data analysis, data modelling, data warehousing concepts, and business intelligence principles.
• Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• BI & Data Visualisation Tools: Familiarity with Qlik, Microsoft Power BI, or other relevant business intelligence and data visualisation tools, including an understanding of dashboard design best practices.
• Data Integration & ETL Concepts: Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration concepts will be an added advantage.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and the ability to perform data cleansing, validation, and troubleshoot data-related issues effectively.
• Communication & Collaboration: Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
• Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Demonstrates a willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving business requirements, and continuously develop technical and analytical capabilities.
