Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks a Technical Sourcing Senior Engineer to align supplier strategies with purchasing demands and optimize material sourcing across the supply chain in a global tech environment.

You will lead direct material sourcing for fabrication parts, negotiate terms, evaluate supplier performance, and drive zero-defect initiatives with cross-functional teams, while maintaining accurate records and supplier databases.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in purchasing, engineering, or procurement engineering.
• Understanding of machining processes, fabrication techniques, and technical drawing interpretation.
• Experience with ERP systems and spreadsheet analytics.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
• Degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct material sourcing activities for fabrication parts, standard components, and custom modules.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and quarterly business reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate commercial terms and lead-time commitments to reduce costs.
• Maintain enterprise purchasing records, source lists, and supplier data integrity.
• Partner with supply partners on process improvement projects to support zero-defect programs.
