Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Technical Solutions Architect to design and promote Cloud/Linode solutions for customers in a fast-moving APJ environment. You will guide customers through strategic and technical aspects of cloud transformation, and act as a thought-leader in cloud computing both inside and outside Akamai.

You will collaborate with sales on technical aspects, drive adoption and consumption of Linode, and shape product roadmaps through innovation and cross-functional influence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical cloud/hosting role.
• Experience architecting complex IaaS solutions.
• Hands-on in Kubernetes, cloud networking, databases, storage, AI & GPU, and IaC/CI/CD.
• Familiar with open source stacks including Apache, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, Terraform.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive new Linode customer acquisition and account growth as public cloud pre-sales, in collaboration with sales.
• Drive customer success and consumption of Linode as part of the integrated account team.
• Lead solution and product innovation initiatives; evangelize APJ use cases and influence roadmaps.
• Build technical thought-leadership in Cloud Computing/Linode to support Akamai APJ growth.

You’ll play an integral part of sales lifecycle & support Pre-Sales defining Cloud/Linode solutions as technology specialist. You will guide customers through strategic & technical aspects of Cloud transformation to drive Linode services consumption. You’ll also be the thought-leader in cloud computing both outside and within Akamai.

As a Technical Solution Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Driving new Linode customer acquisition and account growth as public cloud pre-sales, collaborating with sales on technical aspects
• Driving customer success and consumption of Linode, as part of the integrated account team
• Leading solution & product innovation initiatives. Evangelize APJ use cases/technologies & influence product roadmap with product managers
• Building technical thought-leadership in Cloud Computing/Linode to support overall Akamai APJ business growth

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years+ of relevant experience working in a customer facing technical role with cloud/ hosting provider company
• Demonstrate successful experience in architecting complex IaaS solutions for customers. Possess professional architect level certifications from AWS/GCP
• Demonstrate hands-on skills in three or more domains: Kubernetes, cloud networking, database, storage, AI & GPU, IaC/CI/CD tooling, gaming or media streaming tech stack
• Demonstrate knowledge and hands-on skills in open source including: Apache Web Server, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, Terraform, etc
• Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to technical and non-technical audiences
• Have Cloud professional service delivery experience is ideal
