Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Technical Solution Architect in Malaysia to design and promote public cloud solutions for customers. You will guide a diverse, multinational engineering team and define cloud transformation strategies that drive Linode service consumption.

The role emphasizes architecting IaaS solutions, leading technical initiatives, and building thought leadership across cloud technologies to accelerate Akamai APJ growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role with cloud/hosting provider
• Experience architecting complex IaaS solutions for customers
• Professional certifications from AWS and/or GCP
• Hands-on in Kubernetes, cloud networking, databases, storage, AI & GPU, IaC/CI/CD tooling
• Knowledge of open-source stack including Apache, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, Terraform

Responsibilities

• Drive Linode customer acquisition and account growth as public cloud pre-sales
• Drive customer success and consumption of Linode as part of the integrated account team
• Lead solution & product innovation initiatives; influence product roadmap with product managers
• Build technical thought‑leadership in Cloud Computing/Linode to support Akamai APJ business growth
