Job summary

rhi is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our client’s team in Kuala Lumpur on a 6-month contract with potential extension. The role involves leading cross-functional technology initiatives across customer-facing platforms, loyalty capabilities, mobile apps, data integrations, and operational services.

You will gather requirements, develop integrated delivery plans, and manage dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments across internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of experience leading complex technology programs, projects, or delivery portfolios.
• Proven record of delivering cross-functional initiatives from discovery and planning through launch and handover.
• Practical knowledge of Agile delivery, governance, risk management, change management, and software release practices.
• Experience using delivery and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Confluence, Microsoft 365, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience in loyalty platforms, payments, or retail systems is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, and document detailed business and technical requirements with stakeholders.
• Translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs for Agile delivery.
• Create a roadmap and integrated delivery plan with milestones and success criteria.
• Own end-to-end program planning and delivery across scope, schedule, risks, and readiness.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery with product, engineering, security, data, and operations.
• Identify dependencies and risks; drive mitigation and resolution actions.
• Align scope, sequencing, priorities, and release strategy with teams.
• Ensure technical plans are realistic and aligned with target architecture.
• Coordinate with design and engineering to match UI/UX and technical feasibility.
• Manage external vendors and service providers for dependencies and transitions.
