Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Industrial & Science) to lead physical security across Batu Kawan projects in Penang. You will coordinate design, testing and handover of CCTV, access control and alarms, while aligning with facilities, IT and external stakeholders.

You will review plans, manage vendors, and report to senior leadership throughout the lifecycle. You will monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure governance and audit readiness, with a focus on

Qualifications

• 7+ years in project management on technical, infrastructure, facilities or security system projects.
• Experience coordinating multiple vendors, contractors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Physical Security systems such as CCTV, access control and alarms.
• Ability to manage schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, changes and handovers.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, escalation, documentation and executive reporting.
• Experience managing large-scale facility expansion or site-readiness projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate physical security activities across projects, ensuring alignment with business, facilities, IT, and external stakeholders.
• Manage security-related design, implementation, testing, and operational handover for CCTV, access control, alarms and related systems.
• Review project plans, technical specifications and system designs for security compliance and operational fit.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors and service providers for timely delivery and project success.
• Act as the primary security representative in project meetings, providing guidance and updates throughout the lifecycle.
• Monitor progress, risks, issues and changes with effective mitigation and stakeholder communication.
• Prepare project reports, maintain documentation and ensure governance, compliance and audit readiness.
• Support facility readiness and transition activities to ensure smooth deployment and ongoing security operations.
