Job summary

PerkinElmer Johor is seeking a Technical Operator to perform basic mechanical assembly in a production environment. You will follow assembly drawings, maintain clean workstations, and report issues promptly.

The role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality standards to support our production operations and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly processes.
• Ability to read and follow basic technical drawings or instructions.
• Good hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical parts and components using hand tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Follow work instructions, assembly drawings, kitting WI and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Inspect assembled units for accuracy, alignment, and quality compliance.
• Perform minor adjustments or rework to meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Report defects, shortages, or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements.
• Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and use PPE appropriately.
• Perform other manufacturing-related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall production operations.
