Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a Technical Manager, Rubber Sealing, to guide strategic technical direction for rubber sealing solutions in Vietnam. You will lead capabilities, oversee material choices, and ensure smooth transfer from suppliers to the local plant.

The role requires strong rubber production knowledge, expertise in sealing applications, and proven problem-solving skills, with a focus on advancing production technologies and process standardization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or materials engineering.
• 5–10 years of significant experience in Rubber environment.
• Knowledge of rubber production and sealing applications.
• Strong technical problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of IT-Tools (MS Office, Sales Tools).

Responsibilities

• Define the technical roadmap and manufacturing capabilities.
• Act as the highest technical authority for products, materials and processes.
• Lead technical decisions for complex production and customer issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of technical standards and manufacturing excellence.
• Review customer applications and propose sealing solutions.
• Define material selection and support development.
• Lead technical discussions with customers on new applications.
• Support RFQs by validating feasibility and approach.

Job Description

Technical Leadership & Strategy

Define the company's technical roadmap and manufacturing capabilities.

Act as the highest technical authority for products, materials and manufacturing processes.

Lead technical decision-making for complex production and customer issues.

Drive continuous improvement of technical standards and manufacturing excellence. Product, Materials & Customer Applications

Review customer applications and recommend appropriate sealing solutions.

Define material selection (including material surface coating) and support compound development.

Lead technical discussions with customers on new applications.

Support RFQs by validating technical feasibility and manufacturing approach.

Manufacturing Technology & Industrialization

Define the optimal manufacturing process (compression, transfer, injection molding, etc.) for new products.

Lead the introduction of new production technologies, equipment and manufacturing methods (recommend best technol ogy, support in machine installation and setup).

Develop process standards and ensure successful industrialization of new products.

Ensure effective technology transfer from equipment suppliers and Group experts to the local organization.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor degree in mechanical or material engineering or equivalent

5 to 10 years significant experience in Rubber envinronment

Knowledge on rubber production

Knowledge on sealing applications,

Strong technical problem solving skills

Knowledge of IT-Tools (MS Office, Sales Tools)
