Job summary
W.R Grace seeks a Technical Customer Service Lab Chemist to provide technical support to customers and internal teams, based at the Kuantan plant in Malaysia. The role supports PRISM & AD projects for Coatings, Plastics and Consumers applications, working with TCS Managers to advance product evaluation and application development.
The candidate will operate coating/polymer lab equipment, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with regional teams to drive product quality and customer
Qualifications
- Operates coating/polymer lab equipment and analytical instruments.
- Experience with edible oil refining processes is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written English and Chinese communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities are essential for role.
- Prior lab experience in coating or polymer fields is required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure laboratory safety and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain orderly lab, PPE use, labeling and storage of chemicals.
- Keep records: inventories, waste disposal, MSDS, HIRA, lab assets, test methods, instructions.
- Carry out day-to-day laboratory work and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-regional TCS labs to share best practices.
