Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an engineer with a diploma or degree in engineering or related sciences to develop and standardize machine parameter settings for blown film and other flexible packaging processes. You will conduct material and process testing to ensure product specifications are met and analyze extrusion-related defects to improve film quality.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in plastics processing, with strong knowledge of PE/PP materials and extrusion.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related Sciences.
• Minimum 2 years of technical experience in plastics processing, blown film or flexible packaging.
• Good understanding of PE/PP materials, extrusion processes and film properties.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and production-floor problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardize machine parameter settings for blown film and other flexible packaging processes.
• Conduct raw material, film and process testing to ensure product specifications are achieved.
• Analyze and troubleshoot film defects such as gels, fish eyes, gauge variation, poor sealing and other extrusion related defects.
• Provide technical support to production teams and implement corrective actions to improve film quality and yield.
