Job summary
Guppy Plastic Industries (Penang) Sdn Bhd - Melaka Branch is seeking a Technical Engineer to support daily production activities at the Melaka site. You will monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and work with maintenance to minimize downtime.
You will assist in process improvements, implement engineering changes, and help ensure products meet specifications and regulatory standards. The role also involves documenting technical work and contributing to continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with troubleshooting industrial machinery and coordinating repairs or preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma or similar process-improvement approaches.
Responsibilities
- Support daily production activities and monitor equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Assist in process optimization and implement engineering changes.
- Prepare technical documentation and contribute to root-cause analysis for defects.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and management to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Support safety practices and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
