Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Technical Designer to translate 3D concepts and creative designs into clear technical drawings, BOMs, and actionable solutions for fabrication and site execution.

You will collaborate with R&D, Project, Production, and Procurement teams on festive decorations, mall installations, retail displays, exhibitions, events, and commercial activation projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Engineering Drafting or related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other technical drawing software.
• Able to interpret 3D designs, sketches, dimensions and site measurements.
• Experience or familiarity with events, exhibitions, mall decorations or fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, detail and production drawings.
• Convert sketches, 3D visuals and site measurements into technical drawings.
• Develop technical details for carpentry, metal works, props and installations.
• Prepare and update BOMs with material, size, quantity and finishing requirements.
• Coordinate with R&D, Project, Production and Procurement teams; support site work.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, properly scaled and safe for fabrication and installation.
• Maintain drawing files, revision records and project documents.
• Support urgent drawing requirements as needed.

You will have the opportunity to work on festive decorations, mall installations, retail displays, exhibitions, events, and commercial activation projects together with our R&D, Project, Production, and Procurement teams.

Job Summary

Prepare technical drawings, production details, and BOMs to turn creative concepts into practical and buildable solutions.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Technical Drawing

Prepare 2D drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, detail drawings, and production drawings.

Convert sketches, 3D visuals, and site measurements into technical drawings.

Develop technical details for carpentry, metal works, props, displays, lightboxes, printing, and installation works.

BOM & Material Planning

Prepare and update Bill of Materials (BOM), including material, size, quantity, finishing, and production requirements.

Technical Coordination

Work closely with R&D, Project, Production, Procurement, and site teams.

Identify technical issues and propose practical solutions.

Drawing Quality & Safety

Ensure drawings are accurate, properly scaled, clearly labelled, practical, and safe for fabrication and installation.

Documentation

Maintain drawing files, revision records, BOMs, and project documents.

Support drawing revisions and urgent project requirements when needed.

Project Support

Support urgent drawing requirements and perform any other duties assigned by the superior or Management.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Engineering Drafting, or related field.

Proficient in AutoCAD or other relevant technical drawing software.

Able to understand 3D designs, sketches, dimensions, and site measurements.

Basic knowledge of carpentry, metal works, fabrication, materials, or installation is an advantage.

Detail-oriented with good technical and problem-solving skills.

Able to communicate and work effectively with different departments.

Experience in events, exhibitions, retail displays, mall decorations, or fabrication is an added advantage.

Fresh graduates with strong technical drawing skills are encouraged to apply.

Possess own transport.

Working location: Balakong, Selangor.
