Job summary

Academy by AirAsia Next in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead to guide our development team in building scalable, AI-powered EdTech solutions. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor developers, and ensure delivery of high-quality applications using Node.js, React/Next.js, MySQL, and Google Cloud Platform.

You will lead frontend and backend engineers, shape the technical strategy for integrating agentic AI features, oversee CI/CD, and collaborate closely with product and design

Qualifications

7+ years in software development, 3+ years as a Tech Lead.
Experience with agentic AI systems and LLM orchestration.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor frontend & backend developers.
Design and deliver scalable full-stack solutions.
Define and drive technical strategy for AI features.
Architect and build agentic AI systems and pipelines.
Own GCP cloud architecture decisions.
Guide data architecture with stakeholders.
Oversee CI/CD, testing, and code quality.
Collaborate with product and design to deliver features.
Troubleshoot issues and drive improvements.
