Job summary

A technology solutions company in Malaysia is seeking a skilled developer familiar with the complete System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The role requires good communication and problem-solving skills, alongside experience in UNIX environments, Struts, Spring, and Hibernate. Candidates with knowledge in Agile practices and Oracle SQL will have an advantage. This position involves defining solutions and preparing technical specifications, as well as writing performance-oriented queries and stored procedures.

Qualifications

• Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills in English.
• Good problem-solving skills with a high level of initiative.
• Experience in UNIX environments, systems setup and application deployment.
• Experience in Struts framework, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Experience in creating & executing unit tests using a test-driven approach with JUnit or any equivalent.
• Experience in Oracle SQL.
• Experience in writing performance-oriented queries, stored procedures and functions.

Responsibilities

• Work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Complete minimum 3 System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Define solution and prepare technical specifications according to Functional Specifications.
• Work in a cross-cultural team with multi-geographical locations (onsite-offshore).
• Work on Agile Framework or understand basic Agile terminologies and processes.

• Able to define solution and prepare technical specifications according to Functional Specifications.
• Experience in creating & executing unit tests using test driven approach with JUnit or any other equivalent.
• Good fundamentals in Core Programming, Object Oriented design & Design patterns.
• Experience in work in a cross cultural team with multi geographical locations (onsite-offshore) will be an advantage.
• Advantage if worked on Agile Framework or aware of basic Agile terminologies and processes.
• Experience in Oracle SQL.
• Good experience in writing performance oriented queries, stored procedures and functions.
