Job summary

CKP is seeking a Team Lead in Kuala Lumpur to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, review work of 3–4 associates, and ensure high-quality deliverables for diverse clients. You will lead month-end close, review SST computations, and uphold MFRS/MPERS under CKP standards while mentoring staff.

You will implement digital tools like Xero and Dext, drive process improvements, and manage client relationships as the primary escalation point.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, MICPA) are an advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or outsourcing.
• Strong technical understanding of MFRS, full set of accounts, and SST.
• Prior experience leading or supervising junior team members is preferred.
• Proficient in cloud accounting systems; Xero experience is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, handle pressure, and prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and professional responses to client queries and technical issues.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of 3–4 associates and senior associates.
• Plan and allocate workload to ensure efficiency and balanced team capacity.
• Conduct technical training, on-the-job coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Support staff development through structured competency improvement plans.
• Maintain a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous growth.
• Implement and promote the use of digital tools such as Xero, Dext, Syft, Lark and tools/system implemented by the Company.
• Identify workflow gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to CKP’s internal SOPs and documentation requirements.
• Support the development and refinement of new processes aimed at improving productivity and service quality.
• Serve as the primary point of escalation for assigned clients.
• Support senior management during client meetings and presentations.
• Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and renewal rates.
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional CKP services such as payroll, advisory, or CFO-related support.

The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, reviewing work prepared by team members, ensuring high-quality client deliverables, and supporting the development of staff. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capability, and operational discipline to maintain CKP’s standards of accuracy, timeliness, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

A. Client Delivery and Technical Review

Review full sets of accounts, management reports, SST computations, and financial analyses.

Ensure compliance with MFRS/MPERS and CKP quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills :
