Job summary

Russell Bedford LC PLT in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Audit Senior/Portfolio Leader to manage and lead audit engagements across diversified clients. You will plan fieldwork, supervise engagement teams, and deliver high-quality audit reports while fostering staff development.

The role requires a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/MICPA-CAANZ/CPA Australia or degree in accounting) and 2–4 years of relevant public accounting experience, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or ACCA/MICPA-CAANZ/CPA Australia with 2-4 years in mid/large public firm.
• Familiar with accounting and auditing standards i.e. MFRS.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
• Leadership, training and mentoring skills essential.
• Able to work under pressure and in multi-disciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in audit engagement, including planning, field work and reporting.
• Lead and oversee audit engagements, including planning, field work and reporting.
• Research and analyze financial statement and audit related issues.
• Acquire knowledge of client’s business and provide quality service.
• As portfolio leader, develop engagement staff and provide counseling and career guidance.
• Report to Partners/Directors/Managers.

Job description

Assist in handling a portfolio and managing a portfolio of diversified clients in different industries.

Undertake a wide variety of assignments in the provision of other high value-added service i.e. internal audit, corporate advisory services, corporate recovery, tax, financial due diligence, special audit and review, financial reporting standards advisory etc.

Participate in audit engagement, which include audit planning, field work, and audit reporting.

Lead and oversee audit engagement, which include audit planning, field work and audit reporting.

Research and analyze financial statement and audit related issues.

Acquire a working knowledge of the client’s business and demonstrate professional interest in providing the clients with quality service.

As a portfolio leader, you must develop and motivate the engagement staff and provide them with counseling and career guidance.

Report to Partners/Directors/Managers.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in accounting or ACCA/MICPA-CAANZ/CPA Australia with 2-4 years working experience in mid or large sized public accounting firm.
• Familiar with accounting and auditing standards i.e. MFRS.
• Good command of English language, written and spoken.
• Good interpersonal skill and proactive approach are essential.
• Good leadership, training and mentoring skills.
• Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude.
• Able to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and able to demonstrate high degree of commitment with initiative, willingness to accept challenges and able to work under pressure.
• Have interest in continuous learning and development, and advancement in the Firm.
