Job summary

Taylor's International School in Puchong, Selangor, is seeking a Teaching Assistant for our Primary classes to support learning, wellbeing, and daily classroom activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to implement lesson plans, monitor progress, and contribute to a positive learning environment. Minimum qualifications and English proficiency are required, with a preference for candidates with international school experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM/STPM/A Level or equivalent in Education/Teaching/Training.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• At least 1 year experience with children, preferably in an international school.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in helping students achieve social, personal and academic goals.
• Follow daily lesson plans, routines and classroom activities.
• Observe students and identify those needing additional support; collaborate with the class teacher on assistance.
• Assist with preparing teaching resources and displaying students’ work.
• Attend staff briefings and professional development activities as required.
• Undertake supervisory duties outside the classroom when required by leadership.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support our Primary classes. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students’ learning, development, wellbeing and day-to-day classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in helping students achieve their social, personal and academic goals.
• Work closely with the class teacher and follow the daily lesson plans, routines and classroom activities.
• Observe students and identify those who may require additional support, and work with the class teacher on appropriate ways to assist them.
• Assist with preparing teaching and learning resources and displaying students’ work.
• Attend staff briefings, training sessions and professional development activities as required.
• Undertake supervisory duties outside the classroom when required by the Principal, Head of Section or Deputies.
• Ensure the safety and security of students at all times.
• Promote and uphold the core values of Taylor’s Education Group (TEG) and encourage students to reflect these values.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal, Head of Section or Deputies.

Job Requirements

• MinimumSPM, STPM, A Level, Pre-U, Professional Certificate in Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent.
• Good command of written and spokenEnglish.
• At least1 year of experience working with children, preferably in an international school.
• Caring, patient and responsible, with a genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development.
