Job summary

Taylor’s International School Puchong is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Primary students. You will work with the class teacher to implement lesson plans, monitor progress, assist with resources, and supervise activities to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience with children, strong English skills, and a collaborative spirit to contribute to a caring, international school community focused on student development.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, STPM, A Level, Pre-U, Professional Certificate in Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent
• Good command of written and spoken English
• At least 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in an international school
• Caring, patient and responsible, with a genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in helping students achieve their social, personal and academic goals.
• Work closely with the class teacher and follow the daily lesson plans, routines and classroom activities.
• Observe students and identify those who may require additional support, and work with the class teacher on appropriate ways to assist them.
• Assist with preparing teaching and learning resources and displaying students’ work.
• Attend staff briefings, training sessions and professional development activities as required.
• Undertake supervisory duties outside the classroom when required by the Principal, Head of Section or Deputies.
• Ensure the safety and security of students at all times.
• Promote and uphold the core values of Taylor’s Education Group (TEG) and encourage students to reflect these values.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal, Head of Section or Deputies.
