Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a dedicated educator for our International Secondary Mathematics program in Kuching, Sarawak. The role focuses on delivering mathematics instruction to diverse learners, aligning with IEPs where applicable, and fostering a positive learning environment.

The candidate will design and adapt lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support holistic student development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Experience or qualifications in Special Needs Education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and update IEPs tailored to each student's goals and needs.
• Modify standard coursework, learning materials, and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Teach students individually, in small groups, or within inclusive general education classrooms using specialized instructional techniques.
• Evaluate academic and behavioral progress, maintain detailed educational records, and adjust instruction based on data.
• Develop behavior management strategies, implement positive behavioral interventions, and maintain classroom safety and structure.
• Work closely with general education teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, school psychologists, and parents to support holistic development.
• Utilize adaptive equipment and assistive technologies to support student learning.
• Teach daily living skills, social communication, and self-advocacy to foster student independence.
