Job description

To manage and oversee tax compliance and audit matters for both individual and corporate clients, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, minimizing tax risks, and supporting the organization in maintaining good standing with tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax computations for individuals and companies in accordance with the Income Tax Act 1967 and relevant regulations.
• Ensure timely submission of tax returns, estimates, and other statutory filings.
• Monitor deadlines for tax payments and filings to avoid penalties.
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for audit purposes.
• Act as the main liaison with tax authorities (e.g., LHDN) during audits and investigations.
• Review audit queries and prepare appropriate responses supported by documentation.
• Assist in negotiating settlements and resolving disputes with tax authorities.
• Provide guidance to clients/management on audit findings and corrective actions.
• Advise management and clients on tax implications of business transactions.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with laws.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in tax compliance and audit (individual & corporate).
