Job summary

Steve & Co Asia is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead the Tax Department, taking ownership of engagements and advising clients with a hands-on approach.

You will manage a portfolio of local and international clients, review tax computations and returns, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with authorities to ensure timely filings and compliant tax strategies.

Qualifications

• Around 5-8 years of Malaysian taxation experience.
• Experience from an accounting, audit or tax firm — strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian corporate and individual taxation.
• Hands-on experience with tax computations, CP204/CP204A and LHDN matters.
• Experience reviewing junior or senior team members' work.
• Leadership experience or readiness to take the next step into a managerial role.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage, particularly with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the tax team.
• Monitor team workload, filing deadlines and outstanding client matters.

This is a hands-on managerial role where you will have the opportunity to take ownership of tax engagements, work directly with clients and management, and play an important role in developing the Tax Department.

• ACCA, CPA, CTIM or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage, particularly when dealing with Mandarin-speaking clients.
