Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Tank Farm Operator to receive crude oils, palm kernel oil, chemicals and additives from vessels, pipelines, or tankers. You will operate pumps, valves and transfer lines to move products between tanks, refinery and loading bays, and heat tanks to maintain viscosity.

Responsibilities include monitoring storage tank temperature, level and pressure, taking QC samples, and ensuring systems are clean and contamination-free before transfers.

Qualifications

• SPM/Certificate in Engineering, Process or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience in palm oil, chemical, biodiesel or refinery tank farm operations.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves and fluid transfer systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out receiving of crude oils, palm kernel oil, chemicals and additives from vessels, pipelines or tankers.
• Operate pumps, valves and transfer lines to move oils/products between tanks, refinery, biodiesel plant and loading bays.
• Perform heating of tanks to maintain correct product viscosity.
• Monitor and record temperature, level and pressure of storage tanks.
• Take product samples from tanks or pipelines for QC testing.
• Ensure tanks and pipelines are clean, flushed and contamination-free before transfers.
• Report any abnormalities in product quality, tank condition or transfer process.
