Job summary

Astro Malaysia invites applications for a creative copywriter/scriptwriter role. You will craft engaging radio scripts, branded content, and client-sponsored initiatives, while translating content across languages and ensuring tone and messaging remain consistent.

You will collaborate with sales, production and programming teams to deliver compelling communication solutions, manage multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines. A relevant degree and strong writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent copywriting, scriptwriting, editing and proofreading skills.
• Strong command of grammar, language and storytelling techniques.
• Ability to develop fresh, audience-focused concepts across various industries.
• Good understanding of music, audio, and sound design in creative work.
• Proficient in MS Word and related office tools.
• Capable of independent work while handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client briefs and translate objectives into creative solutions.
• Conceptualise and develop ideas and scripts for radio, branded content, and sponsored initiatives.
• Produce high-quality, persuasive copy aligned with brand objectives and audience preferences.
• Adapt and translate content across languages while preserving tone and messaging.
• Manage a high volume of scripts with tight deadlines and quality standards.
• Ensure all content complies with regulations, legal, and internal guidelines.
• Source, engage, and manage voice-over talent for productions.
• Direct voice-over recording sessions for accuracy and creativity.
• Proofread, edit, and refine scripts and marketing content for clarity.
• Participate in client briefings, presentations, and discussions when required.
• Provide copywriting, scriptwriting, and translation support for multimedia content.
• Collaborate with sales, production, programming and other stakeholders to deliver effective communication solutions.
