Job summary

Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad is seeking a talented copywriter to translate business objectives into compelling creative scripts for radio, branded content, and sponsor initiatives. You will manage multiple projects, ensuring tone, messaging, and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with sales, production, programming, and other stakeholders to deliver effective communication solutions across multimedia content, including videos, digital platforms, and promotional materials.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Mass Communication, Linguistics, or a related discipline.
• Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills with strong grammar.
• Ability to develop fresh, audience-focused concepts across multiple industries.
• Strong command of language and storytelling techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic office tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client briefs and translate business objectives into creative solutions.
• Conceptualise and develop creative ideas and scripts for radio, branded content, and sponsor initiatives.
• Produce high-quality, persuasive copy aligned with brand objectives and audience preferences.
• Adapt and translate content across languages while preserving tone and messaging.
• Manage a high volume of scriptwriting projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Ensure all scripts comply with regulatory, legal, and internal guidelines.
• Source, engage, and manage voice-over talent for productions and direct recording sessions.
• Proofread and refine scripts and marketing content for clarity and consistency.
• Participate in client briefings, presentations, and discussions as required.
• Provide copywriting, scriptwriting, and translation support for multimedia content across videos, social, and events.
• Collaborate with sales, production, programming and other stakeholders to deliver effective communication solutions.
