Job summary

Deloitte Malaysia Tax Services Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Associate for Payroll, Business Process Solutions. This role focuses on payroll operations and payroll management, ensuring clients' payrolls are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with Malaysian regulations.

You will manage the daily workflow of the payroll team, identify opportunities to improve procedures and controls, and collaborate with clients to resolve payroll issues while liaising with LHDN, EPF, SOCSO,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong time management, organisational skills, and accuracy.

T&L: Payroll, Business Process Solutions - Associate

This job is essentially a Payroll Operations / Payroll Management role. The person is responsible for making sure clients’ payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with Malaysian regulations.

Key responsibilities

Manage the daily workflow and deadlines of the payroll team to ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient operations

Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to payroll procedures, processes, and internal controls in line with industry best practices

Collaborate closely with clients to understand and resolve payroll-related matters while providing timely and effective support

Liaise with relevant government agencies, including the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), Human Resources Development Corporation (HRD Corp), and other relevant authorities, to ensure regulatory compliance and address payroll-related matters

Ensure payroll activities are completed accurately and within established timelines and compliance requirements

Requirements

Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in payroll processing

Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia

Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively

Highly diligent, responsible, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and meeting tight deadlines

Proficiency in payroll software will be an added advantage
