Job summary

Pure Storage is seeking an experienced Enterprise Pre-Sales Architect in Malaysia to drive technical strategy and customer adoption of our enterprise portfolio. You will partner with Account Managers and partners to translate complex IT challenges into high-performance data solutions, accelerating revenue growth.

You will lead end-to-end technical evaluations, author RFP/RFI responses, and design tailored storage solutions.

Qualifications

• Pre-Sales experience in enterprise tech guiding RFPs and complex sales cycles.
• Storage architectures (SAN, NAS, FC, iSCSI) and Linux/NFS expertise.
• Infrastructure knowledge across on-prem and cloud-native environments.
• Strong communication to explain architecture to technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the technical strategy and customer adoption of Pure Storage's enterprise portfolio across high-value accounts in Malaysia. In this high-impact pre-sales role, you will partner directly with Enterprise Account Managers, Alliance Partners, and Customer Leadership to translate complex IT challenges into high-performance data solutions. By demonstrating technical leadership and guiding architectural evaluations, you will accelerate revenue growth, secure key technical wins, and redefine how leading regional organizations modernize their storage infrastructure.
• Drive Technical Architecture & Revenue Growth: Lead end-to-end technical evaluations, custom proof-of-concepts, and system configurations alongside Account Managers to secure technical wins and expand market share across Enterprise accounts in Malaysia.
• Architect Tailored Business Solutions: Translate complex customer business goals and infrastructure pain points into high-value, differentiated Pure Storage solution designs in collaboration with key alliance and channel partners.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, & Technical Validations: Author comprehensive RFP/RFI responses and execute technical benchmark testing, ensuring prospective clients clearly understand the performance, scalability, and TCO advantages of Pure’s portfolio.
• Deliver Strategic Thought Leadership: Serve as a trusted technical advisor by delivering compelling architectural presentations to customer leadership while partnering with Product Marketing to feed market trends and customer insights back into engineering roadmap discussions.

Requirements

• Pre-Sales Enterprise Experience: Proven pre-sales track record in enterprise technology environments with demonstrated expertise in guiding prospective enterprise clients through evaluations, RFP responses, and complex technical sales cycles.
• Storage & Distributed Systems Mastery: Deep technical capability in current storage architectures (SAN, NAS, FC, iSCSI), Linux operating systems, NFS file systems, and distributed network environments.
• Modern Infrastructure & Networking Knowledge: Comprehensive technical foundation across digital transformation, on-premises and cloud-native architectures, enterprise networking (Ethernet, TCP/IP, Local Area Networking), and virtualized computing environments.
• Consultative Communication Skills: Superior technical leadership, storytelling, and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to explain complex architectural concepts to both technical evaluators and executive decision-makers.
• Location Expectation: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Malaysia office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
