Job summary

RiDiK is seeking a skilled application development professional to drive development, deployment, and support of the Integral Life application. You will analyze requirements, design solutions, develop code, conduct tests, and support UAT and production operations to meet business needs.

The role requires 5+ years in life insurance app development, with hands-on Integral Life / Life Asia COBOL experience, and strong AS400/IBM i, COBOL, CL, and SQL skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of application development experience in the life insurance domain.
• Hands-on experience with Integral Life / Life Asia COBOL systems.
• Strong knowledge of AS400/IBM i, COBOL, CL and SQL development.

Responsibilities

• Manage Integral Life system requirement gathering, impact analysis, solution design, code development, unit testing, UAT support, and deployment for BAU and projects.
• Provide UAT support, including UAT End-of-Day (EOD) batch support.
• Adhere to SDLC, development, security and technology standards.
• Ensure system deliveries meet scope, timeline, quality and business requirements.
• Support production incidents and problem tickets per established processes.
• Provide regular updates on system and project activities.
• Understand system functional/technical aspects and interfaces.
• Ensure security, standards and regulatory compliance for Integral Life.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in upgrades and maintenance.
• Resolve BAU issues within SLA and deliver effective system solutions.
• Achieve KPIs and contribute to technology initiatives.

Job description

You will be responsible for the development, deployment, and support of the Integral Life application to meet business requirements. The role also involves supporting and maintaining existing solutions, as well as developing new technical solutions to improve business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Integral Life system requirement gathering, impact analysis, solution design, code development, unit testing, UAT support, and deployment for both BAU and project initiatives.
• Provide UAT support, including UAT End-of-Day (EOD) batch support.
• Adhere to established SDLC, development, security, and technology standards.
• Ensure system deliveries meet agreed scope, timeline, quality, and business requirements.
• Provide support for production incidents and problem tickets, ensuring issues are addressed in accordance with established processes and standards.
• Provide regular management updates on system and project-related activities.
• Develop a strong understanding of the system's functional and technical aspects, including analyzing technical impacts on interfacing systems.
• Ensure compliance with Integral Life security, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate actively in team activities, including knowledge sharing, mentoring, coaching junior team members, system upgrades, and system maintenance.
• Ensure Integral Life BAU issues are resolved within the agreed SLA.
• Deliver effective system solutions to support business and technology initiatives.
• Achieve individual KPIs and contribute to overall Technology initiatives and organizational goals.
• Continuously develop technical and professional capabilities.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Communicate effectively with business users of the Integral Life application and other Technology teams to provide the necessary support.
• Present and walk through proposed solutions with developers, business users, and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure successful system delivery.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in application development within the life insurance domain, with hands-on experience in Integral Life / Life Asia COBOL systems.
