Job summary

SGS is seeking a Business Development Executive - Sustainability in Shah Alam, Malaysia. You will generate new sales leads, promote ESG services, prepare proposals, and coordinate with technical teams to deliver timely services.

Build strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention while supporting campaigns and events. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and about 2 years of sales experience in sustainability or consultancy, with strong communication and MS

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Sustainability, or related field.
2 years of sales experience, preferably in sustainability, ESG, or consultancy services.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer engagement and relationship-building abilities.
Basic negotiation and presentation skills.
Ability to identify business opportunities and convert leads into sales.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

Generate new sales leads through market research, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Assist in promoting sustainability and ESG services, including training, certifications, assessments, and consultancy solutions.
Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations, and tender documents with support from technical teams.
Follow up on sales enquiries and coordinate customer meetings.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Support sales campaigns, exhibitions, seminars, webinars, and industry events.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM systems.
Monitor customer requirements and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely service delivery.
Prepare regular sales reports and updates for management review.
Achieve individual sales targets and KPIs established by management.
