Job summary

Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad is seeking a Sustainability Manager to lead initiatives reducing environmental impact while guiding ESG and climate risk management across the organization. You will coordinate with department heads, develop indicators, monitor policies, and report to executives on sustainability performance.

Ideal candidates will have formal education in environmental management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to align sustainability with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Related working experience in Sustainability Management and ESG activities.
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in management, environmental sciences or related field.
• Strong analytical, writing and verbal skills with interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor smooth implementation of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
• Develop key risk indicators and mitigation actions under ERM focused on ESG and climate risks.
• Facilitate timely reporting and communications of all ERM risks.
• Update risk appetite related to sustainability risks.
• Assess and improve policies and processes in line with sustainability commitments.
• Brainstorm and implement strategies balancing business needs with environmental goals.
• Evaluate sustainability program efficacy and recommend improvements.
• Draft reports, presentations and proposals for CEO, board and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and internal environmental laws.
• Identify training needs and lead necessary programs.
