Job summary

Asianmac Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking detail-oriented production workers for our precision tool steel manufacturing team. Opportunities exist in Surface Grinding, Wire-Cut EDM, and Manual Milling, with preference for candidates proficient in at least one area.

You will operate, set up, and monitor machines, perform self-inspections, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances. Candidates should be reliable, disciplined, and safety conscious.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in one of the stated machining areas.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, micrometers, calipers, and measuring gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances (+/-0.010mm).
• Education: SPM/STPM/SKM or Diploma in Mechanical/Precision Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate surface grinding machines to achieve high-precision finishes and flatness.
• Set up and monitor Wire-Cut EDM processes, ensuring accuracy and no distortion.
• Set up and operate manual milling machines for precision slotting and squaring.
• Conduct self-inspections with micrometers, calipers and gauges to verify tolerances.
• Maintain machines to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.

Job Overview

We are seeking detail-oriented and skilled production workers to join our manufacturing team. We specialize in high-precision tool steel products and are looking for talents experienced in either Surface Grinding, Wire-Cut, or Manual Milling. Candidates with strong expertise in at least ONE of these areas are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

You will be assigned to a specific role based on your primary technical skill set:

• If your skill is Surface Grinding:
  • Operate automatic surface grinding machines to achieve high-precision flat surfaces and finishes on hardened tool steel parts.
  • Independently select and dress grinding wheels based on material hardness and surface finish requirements.
• If your skill is Wire-Cut EDM:
  • Identify the required fixtures, attachments, and tools needed to execute jobs in accordance with specifications before initiating the cutting process.
  • Perform setup, wire threading and monitor cutting parameters and wire tension to execute complex profiles without distortion.
• If your skill is Manual Milling:
  • Set up and operate conventional/ manual milling machines for precision slotting, squaring, and roughing of tool steel based on technical blueprints.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Common to all roles:
  • Conduct self-inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial gauges, and etc.
  • Ensure parts and components meet tight tolerance and workmanship standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on machines to ensure optimal working order.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in either Surface Grinding, Wire-Cut EDM or Manual Milling.
• Precision Capability: Must be comfortable and proven at working within tight tolerances (+/-0.010mm)
• Education: SPM / STPM / SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) or Diploma in Mechanical/Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• Soft Skills: Good Discipline, Punctual, and a Strong Sense of Responsibility toward Work Quality, Strong Attention to Details, Quality-Conscious, and Responsible.

Salary Range

Salary will be offer in proportion with technical competency, machine setup capabilities, and experience:

• Surface Grinder & Wire Cut:
  • Intermediate skill level: RM3,000 to RM3,500
  • Advanced skill level: RM3,500 to RM4,500
• Manual Milling: RM2,500 to RM3,500
