Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced EHS professional to support the development and enforcement of environmental, health, and safety policies at our site in Malaysia. The role involves hands-on inspections, risk assessments, and coordination of training and awareness initiatives.

You will maintain EHS records, assist with audits, and help drive continuous improvement in safety performance. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience are required, with ISO 14001/45001 knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in EHS, occupational safety, or similar role.
• Good understanding of local EHS legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an added advantage.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and monitoring of EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Conduct and assist with workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
• Support the reporting and investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Assist with emergency response drills, safety initiatives, and workplace safety programs.
• Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, chemical handling, emissions, and related activities.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, permits, registers, reports, and training documentation.
• Coordinate EHS training, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns.
• Assist with internal and external EHS audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives to improve workplace practices and performance.
• Liaise with employees, contractors, and vendors on EHS-related matters.
• Provide day-to-day support to the EHS Manager/Officer and assist with EHS projects and improvement initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
