PRODRIVE TECHNOLOGIES MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Support Engineer (Mechatronic & Electrical) to maintain and improve manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, and production readiness.

The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with international engineering teams to implement improvements. Responsibilities include supporting NPIs, process validation, documentation, and training of production personnel, while ensuring safety and quality

Support Engineer (Mechatronic & Electrical)

Support
1. Production Support: Support daily system assembly operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.

2. Equipment Maintenance & Reliability: Ensure equipment availability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and corrective maintenance.

3. Root Cause Analysis: Investigate equipment breakdowns, production disruptions, and assembly defects, implementing sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

4. Process Optimisation & Continuous Improvement: Improve assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, workflow, productivity, yield, and equipment performance.

5. NPI & Technical Support: Support new product introduction, process validation, engineering changes, equipment qualification, automation, and new technology implementation.

6. Documentation & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain technical documentation, monitor production KPIs, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues and improve operational performance.

Work Preparation

1. Prepare, develop, and validate manufacturing processes to ensure production readiness, efficiency, and quality.

2. Support new product introductions, product transfers, prototypes, and process implementation from engineering to production.

3. Develop and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, process documentation, and technical specifications.

4. Identify production inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost effectiveness.

5. Troubleshoot production process issues and coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve operational challenges.

6. Collaborate with international engineering teams and cross-functional departments while providing technical guidance and training to production personnel.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, production engineering, equipment maintenance, or system assembly.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, assembly processes, production equipment, and functional testing.

Experience in preventive maintenance, equipment installation, commissioning, and process improvement.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, and technical documentation.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and train production personnel.

Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Good command of English to communicate effectively with international stakeholders.
