Job summary

Lancesoft Malaysia is seeking a Planning Analyst to support the Global Supply Plan (GSP) and optimize inventory, capacity and material availability. You will handle build planning, order management, and supply-demand analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure plans meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining the GSP, performing planning activities, analyzing trends, and supporting S&OP meetings to drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, business, engineering, logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in supply planning, demand planning, production planning, material planning, or supply chain planning.
• Strong understanding of S&OP, supply-demand planning, inventory management, and production planning.
• Experience with ERP / supply chain planning tools; knowledge of advanced planning systems is an advantage.
• Strong Excel/data analysis skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify supply chain risks and recommend solutions.
• Strong understanding of inventory optimization, capacity planning, lead times, and material availability.
• Ability to work with cross-functional and regional/global teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Global Supply Plan (GSP) based on customer demand, forecasts, production capacity, and material availability.
• Perform build planning and order management to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled on time.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to understand demand forecasts, customer requirements, and demand changes.
• Work with Operations, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams to assess production capacity, material availability, lead times, and supply constraints.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, capacity constraints, supply gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Balance customer demand, inventory levels, production capacity, and material availability when developing supply plans.
• Utilize advanced planning tools, ERP systems, and supply chain planning methodologies to create accurate and actionable plans.
• Monitor supply chain KPIs and performance metrics, identify deviations, and drive corrective actions.
• Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels across multiple locations to maintain optimal stock availability.
• Identify and minimize risks related to excess inventory, shortages, aging stock, and product obsolescence.
• Review supply-demand gaps and proactively communicate potential risks to relevant stakeholders.
• Support scenario planning and what-if analysis for changes in demand, capacity, materials, or production schedules.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve shortages, supply constraints, order delays, and planning exceptions.
• Prepare regular supply chain reports, dashboards, forecasts, and management presentations.
• Track planning accuracy and recommend actions to improve supply planning effectiveness.
• Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives within the Global Supply Planning function.
• Maintain accurate planning data and ensure alignment between planning systems and business requirements.
• Ensure supply planning activities comply with established processes, policies, and KPIs.

• Experience with Power BI or other reporting/visualization tools is a plus.
