Job summary

Gateway Search in Selangor, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for a lithium-ion battery manufacturing business.

The role focuses on material availability, regulatory compliance, supplier performance, inventory optimization, and efficient logistics to support production planning, inventory management, supplier coordination and customer delivery commitments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business administration, industrial engineering, or related fields.
• At least 7 years of experience in Supply Chain, production planning, logistics or inventory management
• SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
• Team player with continuous improvement mindset

Responsibilities

• Manage direct material source development and cost down
• Procurement & Supplier Coordination - Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
• Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, cost, and delivery. - Expedite urgent orders and resolve supply issues.
• Support supplier development and cost optimization initiatives.
• Inventory management- monitor inventory levels of raw materials. Work in progress and finished goods
• Logistics - Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments. - Work closely with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor shipping schedules and transportation costs.
• Ensure compliance with import/export requirements and hazardous material handling regulations where applicable.
