Job summary

Bright Prospect is seeking a seasoned logistics and operations leader to run warehouse and distribution activities in Malaysia. You will oversee daily operations, manage a large team, and drive KPIs for cost, quality and service.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain, strong knowledge of WMS and Lean practices, and a proven track record in P&L and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in logistics, warehouse, supply chain or distribution operations, with solid management experience.
• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, transportation and distribution operations.
• Proven experience in P&L management, cost control and productivity improvement.
• Strong understanding of Lean Warehousing / Continuous Improvement.
• Experience in managing and developing large operations teams.
• Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Good knowledge of logistics systems / WMS and Microsoft Office.
• Experience dealing with customs, regulatory requirements, transporters and logistics vendors will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily warehouse and logistics operations to achieve operational KPIs, productivity targets and service standards.
• Oversee warehouse management, inventory control, transportation and distribution activities.
• Monitor operational P&L, costs and productivity, implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve profitability.
• Develop and implement process improvements, Lean Warehousing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor customer KPIs covering cost, quality, service level and supplier performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Lead, coach and develop the operations team, including manpower planning, performance management and training.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements and applicable logistics regulations.
• Work closely with customers and internal teams to identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Evaluate and implement logistics technology and warehouse management systems to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage relationships and negotiations with transporters, subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure smooth flow of incoming and outgoing materials and optimise warehouse processes.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure a safe, efficient and well-organised working environment.
