Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and performance reviews.
• Drive supplier quality improvements through CAPA and corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of supplier quality issues.
• Identify alternative materials, technologies, and suppliers to improve cost, lead time and risk management.

Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) - Malaysia -Johor

Job Summary

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to drive supplier quality excellence and support new product development activities. The role involves supplier qualification, audits, quality improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and collaboration with engineering and sourcing teams to ensure product quality, cost competitiveness, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to ensure supplier readiness and manufacturability.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements with suppliers.
• Support supplier selection, qualification, and development activities.
• Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and performance reviews.
• Drive supplier quality improvements through corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of supplier quality issues.
• Identify alternative materials, technologies, and suppliers to improve cost, lead time, quality, and risk management.
• Monitor market trends and key cost drivers to support cost optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and continuous improvement projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or Supplier Development.
• Strong experience in supplier audits, quality systems, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and supplier performance management.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Semiconductor industry.
• Background in quality engineering and supplier quality management.
• Exposure to NPI/NPD environments and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
