• Knowledge of quality tools and methods: 8D, 5Why, FMEA, SPC, PPAP
• Familiarity with ISO9001 and IATF16949 and regulatory requirements

This role focuses on supplier quality management and optimization across the supply chain. You will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating suppliers, maintaining quality standards, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

Participate in supplier sourcing and evaluation; define supplier qualification standards; assess supplier capabilities including certifications, processes, quality systems, inspection capability, capacity, and historical performance; lead on-site audits and issue audit reports; qualify and onboard approved suppliers

Support supplier sample validation and pilot runs; track testing results; ensure compliance with technical and quality requirements; drive corrective actions to ensure consistency in mass production

Maintain and optimize supplier database, classification, and performance records

Develop and optimize incoming quality control (IQC) standards and material specifications; collaborate with IQC team to conduct inspections; monitor key quality indicators such as incoming pass rate, defect PPM, and batch defect rates

Conduct regular supplier audits (process, system, and annual reviews), identify gaps in quality control, and drive corrective actions with full closure tracking

Establish and manage supplier performance evaluation systems, including quality, delivery, and service metrics; drive improvement plans for underperforming suppliers

Lead investigation and resolution of supplier-related quality issues (incoming, in-process, and customer complaints), utilizing tools such as 8D and 5 Whys, ensuring root cause identification and effective corrective/preventive actions

Analyze supplier quality data (weekly/monthly), identify trends and risks, and implement preventive measures to enhance overall supply chain quality performance

Drive supplier quality system development and compliance with standards such as ISO9001 and IATF16949; support internal quality system improvement and standardization of supplier management processes

Comply with the company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and participate in EHS programs and training as required

About you

Minimum Bachelor's Degree or higher, background in mechanical manufacturing, materials engineering, quality management, supply chain management, or related fields

At least 3 years of experience in SQE (Supplier Quality Management)

Experience in supplier quality management within well-known manufacturing industry (such as electronics, automotive, hardware, plastics, etc.) in well-known companies

Proficiency in the entire supplier quality management process, including supplier audits, incoming material inspections, anomaly handling, and performance evaluations

Knowledge of quality tools and analysis methods such as 8D, 5Why, FMEA, SPC, and PPAP

Familiarity with quality system standards such as ISO9001 and IATF16949, as well as industry-specific product quality specifications, testing standards, and regulatory requirements

Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency in office software such as Excel and PowerPoint for quality data statistics and report writing

Excellent capability in conducting on-site supplier audits, problem diagnosis, and driving corrective actions

Ability to quickly identify quality issues and develop effective solutions

Good communication and coordination skills, and the ability to establish and maintain cooperation among teams
