Benchmark Electronics in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a supplier quality professional to drive audits, quality assessments and supplier performance programs within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
You will coordinate with procurement, manufacturing and engineering to ensure material quality, resolve non-conformances and implement corrective actions across the supply base.

Conduct supplier audits and quality assessments to ensure compliance with company quality standards and specifications
Develop and maintain supplier quality requirements, including documentation, procedures and performance metrics
Monitor incoming material quality and coordinate with suppliers to address non-conformances and deviations
Manage supplier scorecards and performance tracking systems to drive accountability and continuous improvement
Investigate quality issues and supplier performance problems, implementing corrective actions when necessary
Liaise between internal departments (procurement, manufacturing, engineering) and external suppliers to resolve quality concerns
Maintain detailed records of supplier inspections, test results and quality certifications
Support process improvements and cost reduction initiatives through supplier collaboration
Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on product specifications and quality requirements
Prepare quality reports and present findings to management and stakeholders
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering or a related quality assurance role, preferably in the manufacturing or electronics industry
Strong knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 9001:2015 standards
Experience with supplier auditing methodologies and tools
Electrical and OSP (Cleaning and Plating) background
Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality control techniques
Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949, AS9100 or other industry-specific quality standards is desirable
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and process mapping tools
