Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to work on-site with suppliers in Johore, Malaysia. The role focuses on ensuring engineering drawing clarity, driving design for manufacturability, and leading quality improvements across the supplier base.

You will collaborate with New Product Introduction and New Product Development teams, perform supplier audits, and drive corrective actions to enhance quality, cost, and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in supplier quality and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clarity of engineering drawing requirements with suppliers and communicate expectations clearly.
• Engage suppliers in design for manufacturability reviews.
• Use project management and quality tools to investigate alternate processes for cost reduction or quality improvements.
• Support supplier selection to achieve quality, value, delivery, and technology goals.
• Assist with supplier technical audits and monitor performance for continuous improvement.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality incidents.
• Evaluate technical requirements to recommend materials to design engineering for cost and life improvements.
• Perform supplier production assessments to ensure readiness for serial production.
