Job summary

China Construction Yangtze River (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Lifting Supervisor to oversee lifting operations on construction sites in Kapar, Selangor. You will develop lifting plans, supervise crane activities, review risks, train staff, and ensure compliance with OSHA/DOSH standards.

This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to make timely safety decisions under pressure on busy project sites.

Qualifications

Job description

• Develop and implement safe lifting plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Monitor and supervise all lifting activities, including the operation of cranes and other lifting equipment
• Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate safety risks
• Provide training and guidance to crane operators and other site personnel to enhance their understanding of safe lifting practices
• Maintain accurate records of all lifting operations, including equipment inspections and maintenance
• Collaborate with project managers and other site supervisors to coordinate lifting activities and ensure the smooth progress of construction work
• Identify and address any issues or concerns related to lifting operations, and implement corrective actions as necessary

Requirement

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lifting Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry
• Thorough understanding of lifting equipment, load calculations, and safe lifting practices
• Excellent knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, including OSHA and DOSH requirements
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of crane operators and other site personnel
• Proficient in the use of site management software and tools
• Ability to work under pressure and make timely decisions to ensure the safety and efficiency of lifting operations
