Job summary

Zebra Technologies in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an Accounts Payables Supervisor to lead a mid-sized AP team, own process ownership, drive improvements, and champion automation and KPI benchmarking. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize cash flow and reporting while upholding strong controls.

What We're Looking For

The Accounts Payables Supervisor is a highly strategic role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire Accounts Payable process. This position demands strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities to develop team members and ensure excellence in all AP activities. The Accounts Payables Supervisor will lead and own strategic projects, make key decisions, and manage cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives. This role is including fostering KPIs, conducting regular reviews, challenging targets, and driving benchmarking efforts. Effective communication with key stakeholders is essential to enhance processes and improve overall efficiency. Additionally, this role requires effective leadership and team management skills, as the Supervisor will be responsible for managing a mid-sized team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Strategic Process Ownership:Take full ownership of AP processes, documentation, and policies. Continuously seek and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Project Leadership: Lead and own strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Manage cross-functional and cross-regional projects, coordinating efforts and resources to achieve successful outcomes. Present project updates and outcomes to senior management, demonstrating strategic thinking and effective project management.
• Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to enhance AP processes and improve efficiency. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and strategically.
• Collaborative Support: Serve as an expert in the AP field, teaching and mentoring colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a collaborative environment within the team, ensuring seamless operations and providing strategic support during high-volume periods.
• KPI Management and Benchmarking: Foster the development and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AP team. Conduct regular reviews of KPIs, challenging targets, and driving continuous improvement. Perform benchmarking to identify best practices and implement them within the AP function.
• Leadership and Team Development: Provide strong leadership to the AP team, mentoring and coaching team members to enhance their skills and performance. Foster a positive and productive team environment, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement. Manage a mid-sized team, ensuring clear communication, effective delegation, and performance management.
• Flexibility: Perform other duties as assigned, leveraging its capabilities to support the team and company objectives. Adapt to changing priorities and take on ad-hoc tasks as required.
