Spectrum International School (Tajan Integrated Education Sdn. Bhd.) is seeking a dedicated Student Affairs Officer to manage day-to-day student welfare, attendance, and behaviour.

You will work with teachers and management to support student development and ensure a safe, inclusive school environment. The role involves handling inquiries, maintaining records, coordinating activities, admissions, and liaising with parents.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day student affairs and welfare matters at the school.
• Monitor student attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and discipline, and maintain accurate records.
• Handle student-related enquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Provide appropriate support and guidance to students regarding academic, behavioural, social, and general welfare matters.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring the school's student discipline policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with teachers, Heads of Department, school management, and relevant staff regarding student-related concerns.
• Communicate with parents or guardians regarding attendance, behaviour, student welfare, activities, and other student-related matters when required.
• Maintain and update student records, including attendance, disciplinary records, student activities, and other relevant documentation.
• Assist with student admissions, registration, transfers, withdrawals, and other student administrative matters where required.
• Coordinate student activities, clubs, societies, events, competitions, assemblies, and school programmes.
• Assist in planning and organising student development, leadership, community service, and co-curricular programmes.
• Support the coordination of school trips, excursions, camps, and other student-related activities.
• Supervise students during assemblies, school events, recess, activities, and other designated periods.
• Assist in ensuring that students comply with school rules, regulations, dress codes, and behavioural expectations.
• Support the school in maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive, and positive environment for all students.
• Assist in handling student incidents and follow the appropriate reporting and escalation procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation and confidentiality of student-related information.
• Liaise with relevant internal departments to resolve student-related administrative matters.
• Prepare student affairs reports, summaries, attendance records, and other documentation as required by school management.
• Assist with student orientation and induction programmes for new students.
• Support student engagement and initiatives that promote positive school culture and student well-being.
• Perform other student affairs-related duties as assigned by the School Principal or Academic Management.
